The Hellenic Institute of Certified Auditors (SOEL), the SOEL Education Institute (IESOEL) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) have been continuing, since 2009, a steady and meaningful collaboration with the aim of shaping the Certified Auditors of the future, through targeted educational and professional initiatives for hundreds of young professionals who are now beginning their own journey towards a highly promising career.

2025 Activity Review

2025 marked another particularly productive year, with significant achievements, increased participation and substantial added value for hundreds of young professionals taking their first career steps.

Career & Networking Events

Within the framework of their close collaboration, which spans almost two decades, SOEL and ACCA co-organised during 2025 three (3) career and networking events at leading Greek universities:

• Athens: with the participation of students from the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), the University of Piraeus and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA)
• Patras: with the participation of students from the University of Patras and the University of the Peloponnese
• Thessaloniki: at the University of Macedonia

The events attracted more than 1,500 students with physical presence, while 30 leading companies in the sector actively participated, offering employment, internship and professional development opportunities. At the same time, they clearly demonstrated the strength of the collaboration between SOEL and ACCA, enhancing the attractiveness of the accounting and auditing profession.

Informational Presentations & Employability

In parallel, the two organisations co-organised more than 15 presentations at Greek universities, focusing on:

• the Joint Examination Scheme (JES)
• employability prospects
• opportunities for professional development and career progression through the network of partners and associates of SOEL and ACCA in Greece

During these presentations, participants were informed about the available professional pathways, gaining a clear understanding of the requirements and prospects of the sector.

3rd Academic & Employers Event

Recognising the contribution of their partners, SOEL and ACCA held the 3rd Academic & Employers Event in December in Athens, with the participation of more than 30 partners, strengthening dialogue between the academic community and the labour market.

In 2026, SOEL and ACCA will continue and further strengthen their strategic collaboration, creating more opportunities for information, interactive actions and innovative initiatives.
