SOEL - ICAEW Collaboration
Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), is one of the largest professional bodies of Chartered Accountants in Europe. It is a global leading professional organization that promotes, develops and supports more than 210,000 CPAs and students around the world.
With a leading presence in the fields of accounting, finance, and business, its members possess the knowledge, skills, and commitment required to uphold the highest standards of professional competence and ethical integrity.
In the context of mutual recognition and cooperation with ICAEW, SOEL offers the following options:
- The option for those who hold the METKEL qualification to also acquire the ICAEW professional qualification, by addending and sitting the corresponding examinations of only 4 courses of this body’s syllabus at the Professional Level.
- The option for those who participate in the Accredited Membership Program (AMP), to obtain the professional qualification of both Institutes. In this case, participants must attend and pass the tax and law courses in the Greek language through the corresponding professional examinations of SOEL and all ICAEW courses, except those in Tax and Law in the English language.
The AMP Certification Program is open to graduates of accredited universities and technical institutions, both in Greece and abroad.
The Joint Examination Scheme AMP (SOEL - ICAEW) is approved by the Greek regulatory authority – (HAASOB). Therefore, those who successfully complete the JES program examinations meet the requirements of the professional examinations for recognition as Certified Public Accountants in accordance with Law 4449/2017.
