The Postgraduate Professional Audit and Accounting Qualification in “Applied Accounting and Auditing”, includes the subjects that meet the mandatory syllabus of the professional examinations for obtaining the CPA practicing certificate and licence. Applications are submitted online via Registration or Login (for members) on the SOEL-IESOEL electronic services platform.
Objective of the program
The provision of specialized knowledge in “Applied Accounting and Auditing” and their connection with the functioning of the real economy and the institutional framework, so that the graduates of the Postgraduate Program acquire the skills to;
- Successfully conduct audits of entities of any type or size.
- Possess an in-depth understanding of the financial and accounting issues faced by modern businesses
Target Audience
The Postgraduate Program is addressed to university graduates and undergraduate students* who intend to:
- Follow the career of the Certified Public Accountant
- Be active in the wider public or private sector and assume positions of responsibility in the financial
sector of companies or organizations
*Students enrolled in domestic Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) must have completed the third (3rd) year of their study program and successfully passed at least two-thirds (2/3) of the total required courses, in accordance with the regulations of their institution.
Important Information about the METKEL Program
- Program Duration: Two (2) annual study cycles / ± 750 teaching hours
- Examination Periods: June and December (participation in SOEL professional examinations)
- Tuition Fees for Hybrid Learning Programs: € 5.700 (-20% discount for SOEL members)
- Tuition Fees for the Online Program: € 5.500 (-20% discount for SOEL members)
- Tuition fees are payable in equal monthly installments, in addition to the initial deposit paid upon enrollment.
- Registration Period: May – August yearly
- Required Documents: Copy of degree or academic transcript, photocopy of identity card, one (1) passport-size photograph
The tuition fees do not include the cost of participation in the SOEL professional examinations. The examination fees are determined by decision of the SOEL Supervisory Council prior to each examination period.

Application for the Award of the METKEL Professional Qualification Title
Upon successful completion of the program and the professional examinations of SOEL in all subject areas, participants are awarded the Postgraduate Professional Training Qualification in Auditing and Accounting (METKEL). Holders of this qualification are also eligible to obtain the license to practice as Certified Public Accountants (CPAs), following the audit experience required by the applicable legislation.
Obtaining International Qualifications
Enables holders of the METKEL qualification to obtain the professional qualifications of ACCA and ICAEW by attending and successfully completing a limited number of examinations required by these professional bodies.
