IESOEL & ICAEW Participate as Silver Sponsors in the Panorama

With a steadfast commitment to strengthening education and professional training in the field of Accounting and Auditing, theInstitute of Education of SOEL (IESOEL), in collaboration with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), made a strong showing at the 15th Anniversary Panorama of Entrepreneurship and Career Development 2025. As Silver Sponsors of the event, they actively supported the connection between the new generation of professionals and emerging opportunities in the economic and financial sectors.

The Panorama of Entrepreneurship and Career Development, celebrating 15 years of successful organization, took place from 28 to 30 March 2025 at the Athens Concert Hall. During the conference, students, graduates, and young professionals from various sectors of the economy and STEM fields were given the opportunity to learn about labor market trends and the demands of today’s evolving professional landscape.

Panel Discussion on ESG and Sustainable Development

One of the main themes of this year’s conference was Sustainable Development and ESG, with a focus on the skill sets required in the new era of entrepreneurship. On Saturday at 16:15, during the panel discussion titled “Sustainable Development & ESG: Career Opportunities and Key Skills in a New Business Mindset”, Mr. Kostas Konstantinou, Treasurer of the IESOEL Board of Directors, Chartered Accountant (SOEL), and FCA (ICAEW), participated. The discussion highlighted how modern business challenges are reshaping the professional landscape and what skills are needed to successfully adapt.

Panel on the Financial Sector

As part of the conference, on Sunday, 30 March 2025 at 12:00, a timely and insightful panel was held under the title “Trends, Challenges, and Employment Opportunities in the Financial Sector”. The discussion focused on the rapid developments affecting financial services, new labor market requirements, and the skills that young professionals must develop to thrive in this changing environment.

Mr. Andreas Chatzidamianou, Partner at EY Greece, Head of Assurance Services, and member of the Supervisory Council of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Greece (SOEL), shared valuable insights and perspectives on these crucial matters.

IESOEL–ICAEW Educational Programs

Throughout the three-day event, Ms. Despina Lekka, MEd, Director of Education at IESOEL, together with Ms. Christiana Diola, Director, Europe and Ms. Varvara Kouvari, Student Engagement & Stakeholder Executive from ICAEW, presented the joint specialized training programs to attendees.

Accredited Membership Programme (AMP) SOEL–ICAEW:

  •  The option for those who acquire the METKEL qualification to also acquire the ICAEW professional qualification, by addending and sitting the corresponding examinations of only 4 courses of this body’s syllabus at the Professional Level.

  • The option for those who participate in the Accredited Membership Program (AMP), to obtain the professional qualification of both Institutes. In this case, participants must attend and pass the tax and law courses in the Greek language through the corresponding professional examinations of SOEL and all ICAEW courses, except those in Tax and Law in the English language.
