SOEL – ACCA “Move on or Move up” Career and Networking Event
For the third consecutive year, the “Move on or Move up” Career and Networking Event, organized by Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Southern Europe and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Greece (SOEL), was successfully completed.
With the key message “Claim ACCA scholarships and become a member of the world’s largest body for professional accountants,” the event attracted significant interest and participation from young professionals. It took place on April 16, 2024, at the Divani Caravel Hotel in Athens.
Participants—students and graduates of Finance, Accounting, Economics, and Business Administration—had the opportunity to register for free and compete for three major scholarships:
- IESOEL – Course Scholarship
- Globaltraining Greece – ACCA Tuition Scholarship
- Altium Training – ACCA Tuition Scholarship
The event welcomed representatives from leading Greek and international companies, as well as top educational institutions. Attendees had the chance to engage directly with company representatives, explore job opportunities, and submit their resumes for potential future collaborations. Additionally, they gained valuable insights into current job market trends and received career guidance and job search advice.
Participating Companies
- National Bank of Greece
- EY
- Deloitte
- PwC
- Grant Thornton
- KPMG

The event began with informative presentations from SOEL and ACCA, highlighting their collaboration through the Joint Examination Scheme (JES). This unique program allows participants to earn dual certification from both SOEL and ACCA by completing courses in Greek (covering Greek taxation and legislation) and English (covering the remaining ACCA subjects).
An event designed for university students and graduates specializing in Finance, Accounting, and Business Administration, aiming to expand their professional network, make valuable connections, and explore career opportunities.
