Dr. Charilaos Alamanos is the President of the Institute of Education of SOEL (IESOEL) and has served for many years as the President of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Greece (SOEL). He holds a degree from the Department of Economics at the Athens University of Economics and Business and has been practicing as a Certified Public Accountant for over 40 years.

In addition to his current position, he has previously served as the CEO at SOL S.A. (1993-1996), President at the Hellenic Duty-Free Shops S.A. (1993-1997), Secretary General at the Ministry of Finance (1996-2002), and President at the Economic Chamber of Greece (2002-2005). He has also been a member of the Central Administration of the Economic Chamber of Greece from 1983 to 2007, a Member of the Board of Directors of the Evaggelismos General Hospital (1981-1985), and Vice President at the Elena Venizelou Foundation (1985-1989).

During his tenure as President of SOEL, he successfully managed the change in the legal framework of Certified Public Accountants, specifically the transition from the system of partnerships under state supervision to the operation of auditing companies during the period 1992-1993. This expansion significantly increased access to the profession, allowing capable and willing individuals to pursue it. This was achieved through the creation of IESOEL and its constantly expanding activities.
