Partnership Renewal SOEL – ICAEW
The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Greece (SOEL) have renewed their commitment to collaborating in promoting the auditing and accounting profession in Greece. This commitment was reaffirmed during a meeting between the two organizations on Wednesday, July 14, 2021.
As a result, SOEL will continue to offer ICAEW’s ACA qualification and provide professional support to accounting professionals in Greece through the Accredited Membership Programme (AMP), while also allowing them to be members and receive support from SOEL.
The program equips accounting and auditing students in Greece with business skills, technical knowledge, and professional ethics, contributing to the country’s economic recovery following the COVID-19 pandemic.
Michael Izza, CEO of ICAEW, stated:
“I am pleased to renew our collaboration with SOEL, allowing talented individuals from all backgrounds in Greece to benefit from ACA training and SOEL membership. The professional skills of our students will support the implementation of investment and reform measures outlined in Greece’s recovery and resilience plan. This will help Greece rebuild after the pandemic and highlight the vital role of Chartered Accountants in strengthening economies.”
Charilaos Alamanos, President of SOEL, added:
“We are delighted to continue and expand our partnership, believing that this broadening of scope—both professionally and educationally—will be beneficial not only to both institutes but also to Chartered Accountants and Trainee Auditors.”
